The Love Of God

So often, when we go to prayer to seek God's face, we feel that it is a pursuit of our heart directed toward finding HIM.

In reality, the Lord, in his love, is actually pursuing US!

Love is who he is. It is the essence of his nature. Love is not the product of his heart; it IS his heart.

As you seek the Lord, come to him with the understanding that he isn’t grieved or angry with you for your failures and inabilities. He is looking for you in love, to relate to you according to who he is!

He forgives you not because you ask but because that is who he is.

He takes joy in you, not because of your perfection, knowledge, or length of prayer, but because you are his sons and daughters!

He delights in seeing his children find their way to the prayer closet and simply allow Father to pour into their lives.

His joy is to release his nature onto us, into us, and through us.

There is nothing more you can do to improve yourself in his sight than come into his presence by faith and receive who he is. It is his work, it is not your work.

When you see in scripture how Jesus related to the world, the hurting, the lost, the sick, and the bound, you see how he relates to YOU!

When you read about the love of God, you are reading how God feels toward You!

When you hear the story of the Lord’s protection upon Daniel in the lion’s den or the disciples in the boat, you hear what the Lord will do for you!

So today, allow the steadfast, faithful love of God to pursue YOUR heart and overtake YOUR life.
He will release joy, peace, provision, and grace upon you according to the generosity of his heart!
